Food

We are a peanut free school

Breakfast should be eaten at home or brought to school and consumed by your child before 7:30 AM.  We cannot refrigerate or microwave food brought from home.

Hot lunch including a main dish, fruit and vegetable is served daily.

Two snacks are served daily.  Morning snack consists of a bread, cracker or cereal and milk.  Afternoon snack consists of a bread or cracker, fruit or vegetable and milk.   Morning snack should not be substituted for a good breakfast.

Birthdays are celebrated at snack time and parents may bring a non-peanut treat for the class.  Unfortunately, we cannot use school time for birthday parties.  Please save special plates, hats, favors, goodie bags and balloons for parties at home.  If any of these items are brought to school, they will be sent home.  Party invitations may not be distributed at school unless the entire class is invited.

Treats such as pizza parties, good bye parties, holiday treats, etc. are not allowed without prior approval from the teacher.  All food and treats will be sent home unless it has prior approval from the teacher.

Food is not used as a reward or punishment and may not be used a part of toilet training.
