Food

We are a peanut free school

Breakfast
should be eaten at home or brought to school and consumed by your child before 7:30 AM.  We cannot refrigerate or microwave food brought from home.

Hot Lunch & Two Snacks A hot lunch and two snacks are provided daily. Children with food allergies and/or special dietary needs must bring all food from home.

Birthday On your child’s birthday you may bring in a “sweet treat”. Because of limited time, please keep it simple- cupcakes are a favorite item. Birthday parties are an important social event to children of this age, it could also be the first experience for many children to feel “left out’.  Party invitations may not be distributed at school unless the entire class is invited.  Unfortunately, we cannot use school time for birthday parties.  Please save special plates, hats, favors, goodie bags and balloons for parties at home.  If any of these items are brought to school, they will be sent home.

Treats such as pizza parties, good bye parties, holiday treats, etc. are not allowed without prior approval from the teacher.  All food and treats will be sent home unless it has prior approval from the teacher.

Food is not used as a reward or punishment and may not be used as a part of toilet training.
